November 3, 2005 21:59 Mike Carifio Snorting
I created a Fedora Core 4
rpm for snort
signed with a recently created
gnupg public key.
To install the rpm:, first you need to load the public key:
# rpm --import https://www.usys.com/rpm/Mike_Carifio_gnupg_public_key.asc
Then you need to actually install the rpms:
# rpm --aid --checksig -Uvh https://www.usys.com/rpm/fc4/snort-2.4.3-1.fc4.i386.rpm http://www.usys.com/rpm/fc4/snort-debuginfo-2.4.3-1.i386.fc4.rpm
Thomas Chung describes this process quite succintly in his FedoraNews
article. He's written a bunch
of stuff, which I hope to make time to read.
Do you use snort? Do you use an alternative?
Tell me about it.
